I've had this recurring dream since probably when I was in middle school. I had completely forgotten about it until this morning, when I had it again.

It starts off differently each time. This time around, I was having a party with my mom and a bunch of adults. My mom, who was my grandma, told everyone about how I did all the catering and the decorating, but I just wanted to go do my own thing instead of the party. I ended up hanging out with my internet friend Grace in "real life".

Something bad happened at that party. I know there was a murder but I never really know exactly what happened.

The dream transitions to a little boy, probably ten or so, who starts having a strange feeling about what went on. His parents were at that party, just like the parents of his two friends he sucks into the mystery. He gets closer and closer to figuring it out, and the parents know. Whatever their secret is, they'd rather kill than be found out. The boy starts looking for leads, and whenever he finds one, one of the party guests figures out what he knows and tries to kill him. The clue that seems the most mysterious is "the bench", two words repeated over and over by one of the party goers before he died, murdered by another adult for trying to kill the boy. The adult realizes why the dead man was trying to kill the boy and goes after him. The boy eventually visits the house where the party took place and the owner is a pleasant woman. She invites him in, and he takes the opportunity to look around. In the very grand living room, he finds a secret entrance that the lady left open, and inside is a secret room. Inside the secret room is a leather padded bench, and next to the bench is a bloody firepoker. The lady finds him looking in the room, grabs the poker, and kills him before he could get away.

The other two children take up the mystery, neither really wanting to continue but feeling forced into it. The girl dies, and the boy manages to save the day. I don't know how he does, since I always wake up just after the girl dies, but I always have that feeling that he figures everything out and defeats them.

The whole dream to me is shot like a Hitchcock movie. Things aren't modern, they're very 60's, that sort of 60's that is leftover 50's. I've had it a few times before, but I had forgotten about it completely. I have weird ass dreams...

And when you hang out with me, you don't know if it looks anything like me by the time you wake up, but you know who the person is supposed to be. Right? That's the way it was when I hung out with you in my dreams. This is all really cool by the way. I love shit about dreams! Did I tell you one of the last ones I remember? It had to do with my Great Grandma.
